About Me

My name is Roman Recometa III and I created Less To Level Up. I started this site to document my experience on looking for simple ways to make life less complicated. It can apply to finances where my primary goal is to create better positions for the future, material items, hobbies, and even interactions with people.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, which emphasizes optimization and efficiency. While I’ve used the concepts for work, there’s room to apply it to myself.

How It All Started

I could’ve started writing a month earlier, but I had one goal that I needed completed. Sell the #$%@ car. Why? I wanted a personal milestone checked off because it was a long anxiety filled process that was on my mind since June 2024 until it was sold in November 2024. It freed up cash so I could start making smarter money moves going forward. One less car meant more cash for better things.

Maybe We Can Learn Together

As I make decisions hopefully others might find it helpful to try similar methods. Do you have a car that’s sitting around while you pay a monthly car loan? Is there something better than can be done with that money? That’s what got me thinking. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I’m willing to learn and try better things that align with the expression that Less Is More.
